| Light to heavy duty braking applications are served by these fast-acting calipers. Sensitive and rapid response to air pressure level also makes them ideal for tension control applications. Friction pads are secured by quick-release clips. The MS, MX and GMRP series have spring retraction to insure ample pad clearance when the brake is released. The MS and MX series have an interchangeable range of air actuators. The MX type is generally used with the standard range of 1/2" thick discs, from 12" to 36" diameter but is also available for use with 1", 1-3/16" and 1-1/2" thick discs for increased energy dissipation. Pedestal mounting brackets are available for the MX and GMRP types for mounting one or two calipers on both sides of the brake disc. The GMRP caliper features simple access for pad removal thru rear of the caliper and has self aligning brake shoes to accommodate moderate disc misalignment and axial float. | |
